The Book Bank Fair was inaugurated by Director Sr. Jagdish ji and Principal Dr. Navdeep Kaur on August 5, 2025, at SSSS College of Commerce for Women, as part of the college’s ongoing initiative ‘Saugaat’. Principal (Retired) Sr. Shamsher Singh Kahlon ji graced the event. The Book Bank is a regular program that provides academic support to deserving students, allowing them to borrow and exchange books. A total of 483 students exchanged the books. Almost 600 people including the students and faculty members were a part of the event.
To reach a broader group of students, the college organizes the Book Bank Fair once a year under the Saugaat project. This special event allows students to access a wide range of books—completely free of cost—covering subjects such as Commerce, Economics, Management, Computer Science, English, Punjabi, and Hindi Literature, as well as Religion, Spirituality, and resources for competitive exams.
Promoting the spirit of generosity and knowledge-sharing, students are encouraged to bring a book of their own and, in return, select any book of their choice from the Book Bank. This unique initiative not only helps students academically but also fosters a culture of sharing and community learning. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Simranjeet Kaur and Mrs. Monica Chhabra.
